Failing amalgam restoration with secondary decay. Glass ionomer (Fuji IX) as liner. Use of rubber dam is crucial during placement of bonded restorations.
Another failing amalgam. Enamel is etched for 15 seconds then dentine for another 15. Primer is left for 3 times the dentine etching time (45 seconds). Excess removed and bond applied (Optibond FL).Composite resin is placed in very small increments. Each layer is light cured for 20 seconds.
